Workshop "Innovative products from the sea" on the European Maritime Day

Bioenergy, medicines and plastics from the sea? The expectations from society and market towards the marine biobased economy to develop innovative products have risen in recent years.
How can cooperation across borders contribute to fostering smart and conscious uses of marine resources in Europe? Which bottlenecks remain to be tackled, e.g. in technology development?
To discuss these questions with us, we would like to invite you to the workshop: "Innovative products from the sea – Marine contributions to the biobased economy"

• The Seafarm project – macroalgae for a biobased society:

• Microalgae for food, feed, chemicals, materials and fuels:

• Manufacturing organic fertiliser from Baltic Sea mussels – a transnational business case:

• The SUBMARINER Network – actions and initiatives for sustainable and innovative uses of Baltic marine resources
