Preparations for the fourth Bioeconomy Stakeholders conference are underway. The BioEconomy Utrecht 2016 happens on 12-13 April 2016 and is being organised under the auspices of the Dutch EU Presidency, co-organised by the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and the European Commission.
The conference is an action under the European Bioeconomy Strategy and Action Plan, and as such it also serves as an important input to the future orientation of the European Bioeconomy Strategy, which will be reviewed and evaluated in 2016 by the Commission.
At this two-day conference, the results of previous high-level events, e.g. the SCAR Foresight Conference, the Bioeconomy Investment Summit and the Global Bioeconomy Summit, will converge to develop a ‘Stakeholders’ Manifesto for the Bioeconomy in Europe’: a roadmap and a shared commitment to shape the bioeconomy through collaboration and dialogue.
Registration will open at the end of 2015. Further information about the programme and practical matters will follow in the coming months.
